From Polonnaruwa bus station, take a bus heading towards Habarana. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Once you reach Habarana, get off at the main bus stop.

At Habarana bus stop, you can find tuk-tuks waiting for passengers. Hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Minneriya National Park. The distance is about 12 kilometers and the ride should take around 20 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey.
