If you are in the center of Polonnaruwa, start at the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum, which is a well-known landmark. From there, walk towards the A11 road, staying on the main road. Continue straight until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the Giritale Road (B138). Walk along this road for approximately 2 kilometers. You will see signs pointing towards the Wildlife Museum. As you approach, look for the entrance which is located on the right side of the road. The museum is marked with a prominent sign.
