    Starting from the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, head southeast on the main road towards the Sigiriya entrance. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Polonnaruwa road. At the junction, turn left onto the Polonnaruwa road and walk for approximately 5 km. You will pass local shops and small eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for local signs pointing towards 'Alahana Piriwena'. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for Alahana Piriwena on your right. The ancient Bhikku Hospital is located just off the main road, so take the path leading towards it.
