If you are starting from the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum, exit the museum grounds and head northeast towards the main road (A11). Once you reach the A11, turn left and walk along the road for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several historical sites, including the Gal Vihara. Continue straight until you see the 26th Mile Post on your right. The Polonnaruwa Siva Devale No.4 is located just off this main road, a short walk from the post.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Polonnaruwa. From the Polonnaruwa bus station, head south towards the A11 road. Turn right onto the A11 and cycle for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the 26th Mile Post on your left, where you will find Polonnaruwa Siva Devale No.4 a short distance from the road.

Find a tuk-tuk from a nearby stand or flag one down. Instruct the driver to take you to the 26th Mile Post on the A11 road. The journey should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the 26th Mile Post, ask the driver to drop you off, and Polonnaruwa Siva Devale No.4 will be a short walk from there.
