Getting There

Walking
Begin your journey from the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Head south towards the main road (Dambulla - Habarana Road). After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll reach the junction near the Sigiriya entrance. Continue straight for another 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Polonnaruwa Road. Turn left onto Polonnaruwa Road and walk for about 5 kilometers. The Archaeological Site Gate Polonnaruwa will be on your right side, marked by a sign. It's a historical landmark, and you can see the entrance clearly from the road.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sigiriya. Start from Sigiriya Rock Fortress and cycle south towards the Dambulla - Habarana Road. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers. At the junction, proceed straight for an additional 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Polonnaruwa Road.
