If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Anuradhapura. Take the A9 highway southbound towards Polonnaruwa. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (about 110 km). Upon entering Polonnaruwa, follow the signs to the Ancient City. The North Entrance to the Citadel is well-marked, and you can use a GPS device or a map application to navigate to the coordinates 7.9455646, 81.001115. Parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Anuradhapura to Polonnaruwa. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station, and the trip takes around 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Polonnaruwa bus station, you can take a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to the North Entrance of the Citadel. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to the Polonnaruwe Slab Inscription. The fare for the tuk-tuk should be around 200-300 LKR.
