Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and head southeast on the main road towards the ancient city. Continue along the main road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of the Sacred Square, which is well-marked. Once you enter the Sacred Square, Nissanka Lata Mandapa will be located to your left. The Mandapa is easily identifiable by its unique architectural design.

  • Bicycle

    Starting from the Polonnaruwa bus station, rent a bicycle and head east on the main road. Follow the road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see signs for the Sacred Square. Turn left into the Sacred Square area. As you enter the square, you will find Nissanka Lata Mandapa on your left side. Parking for bicycles is available near the entrance.
