From the center of Polonnaruwa, head east on the Main Street towards the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Site. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers, then take a left turn onto the W2W2+GG8 road. Drive for another 500 meters, and you'll find the Polonnaruwa Sivan Kovil on your right-hand side. There is parking available near the entrance.

From the Polonnaruwa bus station, take a local bus heading towards the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Site. The journey will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Archaeological Site' stop. From there, walk east along the Main Street for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach W2W2+GG8 road. Turn left, and after about 500 meters, you will see the Polonnaruwa Sivan Kovil on your right.
