From Unawatuna Beach, head northeast towards the main road (Matara Road). Turn left onto Matara Road and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. You'll pass by local shops and restaurants along the way. Look for signs leading to Balapitiya. After walking for about 20-25 minutes, you will reach the Balapitiya area. Keep an eye out for 'Ahungalla Sea Turtles Conservation Project' on your right, just past the junction with the local bus station.

Find a tuk-tuk taxi at any designated tuk-tuk stand in Unawatuna. Provide the driver with the destination 'Ahungalla Sea Turtles Conservation Project' or the address '72XQ+X38, Balapitiya'. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the conservation project.

From the Unawatuna bus stop, take a bus heading towards Galle or Balapitiya. Make sure to ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Balapitiya. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
