If you're in Unawatuna, start by heading towards the beach. Walk along the coast road heading towards the west. Continue walking until you reach the junction at the end of Unawatuna beach. Turn left and follow the road for around 2.5 kilometers until you see signs for Mirissa. The road will lead you to Mirissa Beach. Once you reach Mirissa, keep walking along the main road until you see 'Kumara and whales office' located at 528/4, Market infront road. It's a short walk from the beach area.

From anywhere in Unawatuna, you can hail a tuk-tuk to take you to Mirissa. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Kumara and whales office' on Market infront road in Mirissa. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.

Head to the main road in Unawatuna where local buses operate. Look for a bus heading towards Mirissa. Once you board, let the conductor know that you want to get off at Mirissa. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After you disembark, walk towards the main road and ask locals for directions to 'Kumara and whales office' at 528/4, Market infront road. It should be a short walk from there.
