Car
If you're driving, head towards Ella on the A23 road. From Ella town, follow the Badulla Road (A5) for about 3 kilometers. The Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory will be on your left, near Hela Halpe. Look for the factory's sign; there is parking available on site.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach the Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory by bus, take a local bus from Ella town towards Badulla. Buses frequently run on this route. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Hela Halpe; the journey takes around 15-20 minutes. Once you disembark, the tea factory is a short walk away, approximately 500 meters down Badulla Road.

For a more convenient option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Ella town. The ride will take around 10 minutes, and you can agree on a fare before starting. Typically, it shouldn’t cost more than 300-500 LKR. The driver will drop you off right at the Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory entrance.

If you are staying close to the tea factory, you can walk from Ella town. The distance is approximately 3 kilometers. Head towards Badulla Road and follow the signs to the factory. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially in hot weather.
