Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Bern Main Station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head east towards the city center. Follow the signs for the Zytglogge (Clock Tower). Once you reach the Zytglogge, continue straight on Kramgasse, a historic street filled with shops and cafés. Stay on Kramgasse until you reach the Bundesplatz (Federal Square), where the Swiss Parliament building is located. From Bundesplatz, walk towards the Münster Cathedral (Berner Münster) which is visible from a distance. Once you reach the cathedral, follow the signs to Münsterplattform, a lovely square with views of the Aare River and the old town.

Public Transport - Tram
From the Bern Main Station, take tram line 9 or 10 towards Guisanplatz Expo. Get off at the 'Münster' stop. Once you exit the tram, walk towards the Münster Cathedral, which will be directly in front of you. From the cathedral, follow signs to Münsterplattform, a charming square located right next to the cathedral, offering stunning views over Bern.

If you are near the Aare River, make your way to the riverbank promenade. Walk upstream (towards the north) until you see the Münster Cathedral towering above you. Once you reach the base of the cathedral, look for the stairs or pathways that lead up to Münsterplattform. Enjoy the view of the city and the river from this elevated square.
