Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Bern Main Train Station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head west towards the Bundesplatz. Walk straight down Bahnhofplatz and take the first left onto Kramgasse, which is one of the main streets in the old town. Continue walking until you reach the Zytglogge (the Clock Tower). From there, walk straight to the Bundeshaus (Federal Palace) and go down the steps towards the Aare River. Cross the bridge (Kornhausbrücke) and continue following the path along the riverbank. After a short walk, you will see the Bear Pit on your right side at Grosser Muristalden 4.

From the Bern Main Train Station, take tram line 9 towards Guisanplatz Expo and get off at the stop called 'Zytglogge'. From there, walk straight towards the Bundesplatz. Continue down the steps towards the Aare River. Cross the Kornhausbrücke bridge, and follow the path along the riverbank. The Bear Pit will be located on your right side at Grosser Muristalden 4.
