Train and Bus
From Grindelwald, walk to the Grindelwald Bahnhof (train station). Take a train towards Interlaken Ost. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Meiringen train station. From Meiringen, exit the station and walk to the bus stop located just outside the train station. Board the PostBus heading towards Guttannen. It will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Guttannen. Once you arrive in Guttannen, look for the signs directing you to the Gelmerbahn cable car station, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.

Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to hike, you can take a scenic route from Grindelwald to Guttannen. Start at Grindelwald, and follow the marked hiking trails leading towards Meiringen. This route offers beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. It will take about 5-6 hours to reach Guttannen, where you can then find your way to the Gelmerbahn cable car station.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can also opt for a taxi or rideshare service from Grindelwald to Guttannen. This will take approximately 40 minutes, and you can arrange for the taxi to drop you off directly at the Gelmerbahn station.
