From Locarno, head to the Locarno train station (Stazione FFS). Take the bus line 2 towards Lugano. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. You'll want to disembark at the 'Gandria' bus stop. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs towards Sentiero dell'olivo, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

From the Locarno ferry terminal, board a ferry heading to Lugano. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and you will enjoy stunning views of Lake Maggiore. Once you arrive at the Lugano ferry terminal, exit and walk towards the bus stop nearby to take bus line 2 towards Gandria. Get off at the 'Gandria' stop, and you will find the Sentiero dell'olivo about a 10-minute walk from there.
