From Lugano train station, purchase a ticket to Bellinzona. The trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bellinzona station, exit the station and walk towards the main road. Cross the street and head up Via della Stazione. Continue straight until you reach Via Artore. The Castello di Montebello will be located a short walk up the hill on your left.

At the Lugano bus terminal, take line 2 towards Bellinzona. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. Get off at the Bellinzona stop.
