From the center of Uri, head southeast on the main road toward the A2 motorway. Follow signs for the A2 towards Gotthard. After about 10 minutes, take exit 39-Sarnen toward Sarnen and continue on the main road for approximately 20 minutes. Follow signs for Schattenhalb and Aare Gorge. Once in Schattenhalb, look for Aareschluchtstrasse. The Aare Gorge West Entrance is located at Aareschluchtstrasse 15, 3860 Schattenhalb. Parking is available nearby, and you may incur a parking fee.

From Uri, take a train from the Uri train station (Bahnhof Uri) towards Meiringen. This journey typically takes around 20 minutes with a change at Brienz.
