Walking
From the Zermatt train station, head south on Bahnhofstraße toward the center of town. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the end of Bahnhofstraße. You will see the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise ticket office on your left. Turn right onto Oberdorfstraße and follow it until you reach a fork. Keep left, which will lead you to the Riffelbergexpress Talstation entrance. Look for the signs pointing towards the Gornergrat Bahn, as the Riffelbergexpress is in close proximity.

After reaching the Gornergrat Bahn ticket office, purchase a ticket for the Gornergrat train. Board the train heading towards Gornergrat. Enjoy the scenic ride, and get off at the Riffelberg station. From there, follow signs to the Riffelbergexpress Talstation, which is a short walk away. This option provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
