From Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take a direct train to Lucerne. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucerne Bahnhof, exit the train station and head towards the waterfront. You will find Luzern Bahnhofquai just a short walk away along the lake.

From Zurich, take the bus number 123 from the central bus station (Zürich Central) to the Lucerne bus terminal. The journey will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. After arriving at the bus terminal, follow the signs to the train station, and from there, walk towards the lake to reach Luzern Bahnhofquai.

Boat
While there is no direct boat from Zurich to Lucerne, you can take a train to Thalwil and then a boat across Lake Zurich to Rapperswil. From Rapperswil, take another train to Lucerne. This scenic route will take longer but offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains.

If you are already in Lucerne, you can easily walk to Luzern Bahnhofquai from anywhere in the city. Just head towards the lake, and you will find the ferry terminal located along the waterfront. It is a pleasant walk with many shops and cafes along the way.
