Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from downtown Knoxville, head south on S Gay St toward W Main St. Continue onto TN-158 S/South Knox Blvd, then take the exit onto US-441 S toward New Orleans. Merge onto I-40 E and take exit 388A for US-441 S towards Alcoa. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for James White Pkwy S, and merge onto James White Pkwy. Continue straight onto Fort Dickerson Rd SW. Fort Dickerson Park will be on your left at 3000 Fort Dickerson Rd SW, Knoxville, TN 37920. There is no parking fee at the park.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Fort Dickerson Park via public transportation, start by taking the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus. Board the KAT route 31 (South Knoxville) at any nearby bus stop.
