Car
If you're traveling by car, start by entering the main roads of Knoxville. Use Interstate 40 and take Exit 388A for US-441 S. Follow signs for US-441 S and merge onto Alcoa Hwy. Continue on US-441 S for around 3 miles. Take the exit toward Cherokee Trail. Merge onto Cherokee Trail and continue for about 1 mile. High Ground Park will be on your left at 1000 Cherokee Trail, Knoxville, TN 37920. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, board the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus line 11 (South Knoxville). The bus will take you towards the South Knoxville area. Get off at the stop closest to Cherokee Trail. From there, it is about a 15-20 minute walk (approximately 0.7 miles) to High Ground Park. Walk along Cherokee Trail until you see the park entrance on your left. Be sure to check the KAT schedule for the latest bus times.
Walking
If you are staying nearby and prefer to walk, you can start from the South Knoxville area. Head towards Cherokee Trail. It's a scenic walk, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you will be walking along roads that may not have sidewalks. The park is located at 1000 Cherokee Trail, and you will see signs directing you to the entrance.
