Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the University of Tennessee, walk to the nearest bus stop on Cumberland Avenue. Board the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus route 10 (or any bus that heads towards the South Knoxville area). You will need to pay a fare of $1.00 for a single ride. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Governor John Sevier Highway'. From there, it’s approximately a 10-minute walk to Marble Springs State Historic Site at 1220 W Governor John Sevier Hwy. Follow the signs towards the historic site.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle. You can find rental stations near the University of Tennessee. Once you have a bike, head south on Alcoa Highway (US-129). Keep following the road until you reach W Governor John Sevier Hwy. Turn left and continue until you reach Marble Springs State Historic Site. The bike ride should take about 30 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.

• Walking

  For those who prefer to walk, start from the University of Tennessee campus and head south on Alcoa Highway (US-129). It’s approximately a 2.5-mile walk, which should take around 50 minutes. Follow the pedestrian paths and sidewalks to ensure your safety. Once you reach W Governor John Sevier Hwy, turn left and continue until you see the entrance to Marble Springs State Historic Site at 1220 W Governor John Sevier Hwy.
