Getting There

    If you are driving from the town of Marfa, head east on US-90 E for approximately 30 miles. Then, turn south onto TX-67 S and continue for about 20 miles until you reach the entrance of Big Bend National Park. Once inside the park, follow the main park road (River Road) for about 25 miles. Look for signs toward Rio Grande Village, and you will arrive at the parking area for the Rio Grande Village Nature Trail.

    If you are coming from Alpine, take TX-118 S for about 25 miles until you get to the junction with US-90. Turn left onto US-90 E and continue for 10 miles, then turn south onto TX-67 S. Follow TX-67 S for about 20 miles to the entrance of Big Bend National Park. Inside the park, follow River Road for approximately 25 miles, and look for signs directing you to Rio Grande Village.

  • Public Transportation

    Public transportation options are limited in the area, but you can take a Greyhound bus to Alpine, TX. From Alpine, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Big Bend National Park.
