    From your accommodation in Chiang Mai, walk to the nearest Songthaew station. Songthaews are red pickup trucks that operate as shared taxis. You can usually find them at major intersections or near markets. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Maetaman Elephant Camp. The fare should be around 150-300 THB depending on your starting point. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of the camp.
