From any point in Pai, head to the main road (Rte 1095) and look for a songthaew (a shared red taxi). Songthaews frequently travel between Pai and Mae Taeng. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Mae Taeng. The fare is usually around 100-150 THB per person, and the trip takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. You will be dropped off at the Mae Taeng intersection.
