Getting There

Songthaew
From central Chiang Mai, head to the nearest songthaew (red truck taxi) stop. You can find songthaews at major intersections or near the Old City. Tell the driver that you want to go to 'Ob Khan National Park' or just 'Nam Phrae'. The fare should be around 30-50 THB, and it usually takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the park, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at the park entrance.

Local Bus
Take a local bus from the Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Station that heads towards Hang Dong. Once you arrive in Hang Dong, you can either take a songthaew or walk to the park. If you take a songthaew from Hang Dong to Ob Khan National Park, it should cost around 20-30 THB. The entire journey may take about 1-1.5 hours.

Motorbike Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can use a motorbike taxi. You can find them around the city, especially near popular tourist attractions. Negotiate the fare (usually around 150-200 THB) and tell the driver to take you to Ob Khan National Park. The ride will take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

Bicycle Rental
For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Chiang Mai. Head south towards Hang Dong, following the main road. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the park entrance, be sure to lock your bike securely.
