To reach Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park via public transportation, you can take a songthaew (shared red truck) from Chiang Mai Old City to the base of the mountain. From there, you can either hike up the Naga staircase or take a shared minibus to the temple entrance. The songthaew or minibus will cost around 50-100 THB per person. Once at the entrance, you will need to climb the 309 steps to reach the temple.

If you are travelling by car, you can drive up the winding road to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. From Chiang Mai Old City, follow Huay Kaew Road until you reach the base of the mountain. There is a parking lot available near the temple entrance where you can park your car for a fee. From there, you will need to climb the 309 steps to reach the temple.
