Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, head towards the Suthep area of Chiang Mai. From the city center, take Huay Kaew Road and follow the signs for Doi Suthep. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. Note that there is a 100 THB entry fee per person to access the park. Once inside, you will see signs directing you to the Montha Than Waterfall Visitor Centre. Continue to drive until you reach the designated parking area.

    To reach Montha Than Waterfall via public transportation, take a red songthaew (shared taxi) from the Old City of Chiang Mai. Ask the driver to take you to Doi Suthep. The fare is typically around 30-50 THB per person. Once you arrive at the base of Doi Suthep, you can either continue by another songthaew or hire a local taxi to the waterfall.
