From the Old City area of Chiang Mai, head to the Chang Phueak Bus Station, which is located on the northern edge of the Old City. You can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a songthaew (red truck taxi) for around 20-30 THB. At the bus station, look for the songthaew heading towards Doi Suthep or Huay Tung Tao. Confirm with the driver that they will pass by Montha Than Falls. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Get off at the stop marked for Montha Than Falls, and follow the signs to the entrance.

Songthaew (Shared Taxi)
From your accommodation in Chiang Mai, find a nearby songthaew stop. You can ask your hotel staff for the nearest stop. Take a songthaew heading towards Doi Suthep and inform the driver that you want to go to Montha Than Falls. The fare is around 50-100 THB. The ride will typically take around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to the falls. Follow the path to reach the waterfall.

Bicycle Rental
If you enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle from a shop in the Old City. After renting, head north towards Nimmanhaemin Road, then follow the signs to Doi Suthep. The route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 1-1.5 hours. Be cautious as the roads may have steep sections. Once you reach the area near Montha Than Falls, park your bicycle and follow the signs to the waterfall entrance.
