Bicycle
From the center of Banjul, head east towards Independence Drive. Turn left onto Independence Drive and continue straight. After about 2 kilometers, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the ferry terminal. Once you reach the terminal, take the ferry to Barra. Upon arriving in Barra, follow the signs towards Karang. It is advisable to ask locals for directions to Fathala Wildlife Reserve along the way, as the route may have unmarked turns. The reserve is located just a short distance from Karang.

If you are at the Banjul International Airport, exit the airport and head towards the main road. Walk along the road that leads to the ferry terminal. This is approximately a 20-minute walk. Once you reach the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Barra. After crossing the river, you can catch a local taxi or find a bike taxi to take you directly to Fathala Wildlife Reserve in Karang.
