From Jarra West, start by heading towards the main road (Banjul – Barra Highway). Drive for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Brikama. The ferry ride across the river will cost around 10-15 Dalasi per person. Once you are on the other side, follow the road signs to Jinack Island, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the ferry terminal. Look for signs indicating Jinack Island; there may be local guides and taxis available to assist you further.

From Jarra West, take a local 'Gele Gele' (shared taxi) towards Brikama. The fare is usually around 10-20 Dalasi. Upon reaching Brikama, ask the driver to drop you off near the ferry terminal. From there, you will need to purchase a ticket for the ferry to cross the Gambia River, which typically costs 10-15 Dalasi per person. After crossing, you can either take another taxi or a local bus towards Jinack Island. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are heading in that direction; the journey from the ferry terminal to Jinack Island will take around 30 minutes.

For the more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Jarra West and ride towards Brikama. The distance is about 20 kilometers and should take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
