Walking
From the center of Goreme, head southwest on Avcilar Street towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road (D302). Cross the road carefully and continue straight on the path leading to Ortahisar. As you walk, follow the signs for Ortahisar Castle. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes. You will pass through beautiful landscapes and local shops along the way.

From Goreme, walk to the nearest bus stop located on the main road (D302). Look for a minibus marked for Ortahisar. Board the minibus and enjoy the short ride, which takes about 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at Ortahisar Castle. Once you arrive, it’s a short walk to the entrance.
