Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Sultanahmet, head towards the Hippodrome. From there, walk down Divan Yolu Caddesi towards the tram station. At the tram station, board the T1 tram in the direction of Kabataş. Ride for 3 stops and get off at Eminönü. Once you exit the tram, walk straight towards the Eminönü Square. You will see the New Mosque (Yeni Camii) on your left. The entrance to the Egyptian Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı) is located just behind the New Mosque. The bazaar is easily recognizable with its arched entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    From Taksim Square, walk to the Taksim Metro Station and take the M2 Metro line towards Yenikapı. Get off at the Şişhane station. Transfer to the F1 funicular line and ride to Kabataş. From Kabataş, take the T1 tram in the direction of Bağcılar and get off at Eminönü after 3 stops. Walk towards the New Mosque (Yeni Camii) which will be on your left, and the entrance to the Egyptian Bazaar will be directly behind the mosque.

    If you are near Galata Tower, start walking down towards the Karaköy area. Cross the Galata Bridge towards Eminönü. After crossing the bridge, walk straight until you reach the New Mosque (Yeni Camii). The Egyptian Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı) is located just behind the mosque. It is a short and pleasant walk from the bridge to the bazaar.
