Bicycle
From the center of Entebbe, head towards the Entebbe Waterfront along the main road (Airport Road). Continue past the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, which will be on your left. Keep following the road until you reach the Entebbe Pier. From the Pier, you can hire a boat to take you to Chimpanzee Island, which is a short ride away. Make sure to check the boat schedule as they may vary.
Walking
If you are close to the Entebbe Waterfront, you can walk towards the pier. Follow the path along the water, enjoying the views of Lake Victoria. Once you reach the Entebbe Pier, you can catch a boat to Chimpanzee Island. Ensure you arrive early to secure your spot on the boat, as they can fill up quickly.
Public Transport (Boda Boda)
You can take a 'boda boda' (motorcycle taxi) from anywhere in Entebbe to the Entebbe Pier. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the pier for Chimpanzee Island. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the pier, purchase a ticket for the boat to the island.
