Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Jinja town center and head east on the Jinja-Kamuli road (A-109). Follow the road for approximately 3 kilometers. Look for a sign indicating the Source of the Nile Viewpoint. Turn right onto a dirt road leading to the viewpoint. There is usually a parking area available close to the viewpoint. Be aware that there might be a small parking fee.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    To reach the Source of the Nile Viewpoint via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Jinja town center heading toward Kamuli. These can be found at the main taxi park. After you get off, you may need to walk approximately 15 minutes on a dirt path to reach the viewpoint.
