    If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park, located near the town of Mbale. Drive towards the town of Bungokho, following the signs to Wanale Ridge. The drive should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Bungokho, look for the coordinates 26XG+2VW on your GPS. From there, follow the local roads uphill towards the Wanale Ridge viewpoint. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for steep terrain, as some roads may be rough.

    To reach Wanale Ridge via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Bungokho. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes and costs approximately 2,000 UGX. Once you arrive in Bungokho, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to the Wanale Ridge viewpoint.
