From Queen Elizabeth National Park, head out of the park towards the Mbarara-Kabale road (A104). Follow the road signs that direct you to Mbarara. The journey is approximately 90 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach Mbarara, look for signs that indicate the turnoff to Lake Mburo National Park, which is located on the A104 road. There is an entrance gate to the park, and the entrance fee is approximately $40 per person for foreign non-residents. Make sure to have cash ready to pay the entrance fee.

To reach Lake Mburo National Park from Queen Elizabeth National Park using public transport, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Mbarara. In Mbarara, you can find shared taxis or matatus (minibuses) heading towards the park's entrance. The fare for the taxi ride to Mbarara may vary, but expect to pay around 30,000 to 50,000 UGX ($8 to $14). Once in Mbarara, you can take a matatu to the park entrance for about 5,000 UGX ($1.50).
