Car
From Queen Elizabeth National Park, head towards the southern exit of the park. Take the road leading to the town of Kasese. After approximately 50 kilometers (about 1 hour), you will reach Kasese. From Kasese, continue on the Bwamba Road towards Bundibugyo. This road will take you directly to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park entrance, which is about 20 kilometers from Kasese. Be prepared for some rough patches and allow approximately 30 minutes of driving time on this stretch.

Public Transportation
To reach Rwenzori Mountains National Park via public transportation, first take a matatu (shared taxi) or bus from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kasese. This should take about 1 hour. Once in Kasese, look for matatus heading towards Bundibugyo. These matatus leave regularly and the journey will take an additional 30-45 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver you want to go to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park entrance, which is well-known in the area.
