Head east on the main road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the signpost for the Kanyansti Fish Ponds. Follow the dirt road indicated by the sign for about 5 kilometers until you arrive at the ponds. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last part of the journey is via unpaved roads, and be cautious of any potential wildlife crossings.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Kasese town to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park entrance. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to Kanyansti Fish Ponds. The ride should take about 30 minutes and cost around 15,000 UGX. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your journey. The boda boda will take you on the unpaved paths directly to the ponds.
