The journey will take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on road conditions. Once you reach Fort Portal, look for Lugard Road. The Sir Gerald Portal Monument is located at the address M73G+G8P on Lugard Road. There is parking available nearby.

For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from the main park entrance to Fort Portal. Matatus are generally available throughout the day. The ride will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Fort Portal, you can either walk or take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to Lugard Road. Inform the boda boda driver that you want to visit the Sir Gerald Portal Monument, and they will take you directly there for a small fee, typically around 1,000 to 3,000 UGX (Ugandan Shillings).
