The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off the bus at the Crathes Castle stop, which is conveniently located just a short walk away from the entrance.

Catch a train from Aberdeen Railway Station to Banchory. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Banchory Station, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the number 201 or 202 bus towards Crathes. The bus ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Alight at the Crathes Castle stop. The castle will be just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you are in Banchory, you can walk to Crathes Castle. Start from the town center and head along the A93 road towards Crathes. Follow the signs for Crathes Castle. It is approximately a 45-minute walk (about 2.5 miles). The route is scenic, taking you through the beautiful countryside.
