From the main entrance of the University of Aberdeen, head north on High Street. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with St. Machar Drive. Cross St. Machar Drive and continue walking straight. The Archimedes Screw is located in the vicinity of the River Don, which you will see ahead. Look for the distinctive structure along the riverbank.

If you are further away in Old Aberdeen, you can take the bus from the nearest bus stop located on High Street (look for bus numbers 1 or 2). Board the bus and travel towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Union Square' and switch to bus number 19 or 22 heading towards 'Bridge of Don'. Get off at 'Donmouth Road'. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk: head north along Donmouth Road until you reach the River Don, where the Archimedes Screw is located.
