Car
If you're driving from Ayr, take the A77 road towards Maybole. Continue on the A77 for approximately 8 miles. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A714 towards Maybole. Follow the A714 for about 2 miles and then turn left onto the B742. Crossraguel Abbey will be located on your left-hand side shortly after you make the turn. There is free parking available on-site.

To reach Crossraguel Abbey using public transport, start by taking a train from Ayr Station to Maybole Station. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Maybole Station, exit the station and walk towards the town center. From there, you can take a local bus (number 60 or 61) towards Crossraguel Abbey. The bus will drop you off near the Abbey entrance. Please check the local bus timetable for the exact schedule, as services may vary.

If you're already in Maybole town center, you can walk to Crossraguel Abbey. Head south on the A714 for about 1.5 miles. The Abbey will be visible from the road, and it's a pleasant walk that takes around 30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the surrounding scenery!
