Getting There

  • Car

    From Ayr, take the A70 road towards the A77. Merge onto the A77 towards Maybole. Continue on the A77 for approximately 10 miles. Take the exit for Culzean Castle. Follow the signs for Culzean Castle, and you will arrive at the entrance. There is a parking fee of around £5, which is payable at the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    From Ayr, take the Stagecoach bus service number 60 towards Maybole. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Maybole bus station. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk to Culzean Castle, which is about 3 miles away. If you choose to walk, follow the A77 road towards the castle, but be cautious as there are no footpaths for part of the journey. Alternatively, you can check for any local mini-bus services that might operate directly to the castle for a small fee.
