    From Matlock, head southeast on the A6 towards Cromford. After approximately 1 mile, turn left onto the A5012 (Cromford Road) and follow the signs for Black Rocks. Continue on this road for about 1.5 miles. You will see a sign for Black Rocks on your right. Follow the road to the parking area. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around £2-£4 for the day.

    From Derby, take the train to Matlock Station. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. From Matlock Station, exit and catch the 6.1 bus towards Cromford. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Black Rocks stop. The bus journey takes around 15 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to the Black Rocks viewpoint. Be aware of the bus schedule as it may not run frequently.

    If you are staying in Cromford, you can walk to Black Rocks. Start at Cromford Mill and head up the A5012. It is a steep walk but only about 1.5 miles. Follow the road signs for Black Rocks. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes and offers some beautiful views along the way.
