• Car

  If you're driving, start from Dumfries city center. Head southeast on the A780 (Brooms Road) towards the A75. Continue on the A75 and take the exit toward Dumfries (A709). Follow signs for the A709 and continue onto the A76. When you reach the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A780. Continue straight for approximately 2 miles until you see signs for Kingholm Quay. Turn left onto Millhouses, and Kingholm Quay Harbour will be on your right. There is no parking fee, but ensure you check for any local restrictions.

  For those traveling by public transport, take a bus from Dumfries Bus Station to Kingholm Quay. Look for bus services like the Stagecoach #246, which operates regularly. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the Millhouses stop. From there, it’s a short walk towards Kingholm Quay Harbour, which you can follow along the main road.
