If you are driving from central Cardiff, head southeast on Castle Street towards the A4232. Merge onto the A4232 and follow signs for the M4. Take the exit toward A4161/City Centre. Continue onto A4161 and follow signs for Roath Basin. The basin is located in the Cardiff Bay area, and there is parking available nearby at Cardiff Bay's public car parks, which may incur a fee of around £2-£5 for a few hours.

From Cardiff city centre, you can take the bus number 6 or 8 towards Cardiff Bay. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the Cardiff Bay stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Roath Basin. Follow the signs towards the waterfront, and you will arrive at the basin.
