From the city center of Inverness, start at the Inverness Bus Station (located at Margaret Street). Head southwest on Margaret Street, and then take the first left onto Academy Street. Walk straight until you reach the River Ness. Cross the bridge over the river, and continue straight onto the A82 road. After about 1.5 miles, look for the sign for the Great Glen Way. Follow the path signs for the Great Glen Way, which will lead you towards Spean Bridge. This walk is approximately 8 miles and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours depending on your pace.
