Getting There

Car
If you're driving, head towards the village of Tarbert, which is the main hub of Isle of Harris. From Tarbert, take the A859 road heading south. Continue on this road until you reach the junction where the A859 meets the B887. Take a right onto the B887 road and follow it as it winds through the landscape. After approximately 5 miles, you will reach the village of Mangersta. Look for a small parking area near the coast. This is the starting point for accessing the Mangersta Sea Stacks. Please note that there may be no designated parking spaces, so be mindful of local guidelines when parking your vehicle.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transport, you can take a bus from Tarbert to Leverburgh. The bus service usually operates several times a day. After arriving in Leverburgh, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local transfer service to Mangersta, as public transport does not reach directly to the sea stacks. The taxi ride will take approximately 15 minutes and will cost around £15-£20. Make sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time to plan your journey.

Walking
For the adventurous, if you have reached Mangersta village by car or taxi, you can walk to the Mangersta Sea Stacks. From the village, head towards the coast, following any visible paths or trails down to the sea. The walk is approximately 1 mile and will take about 20-30 minutes. Be prepared for some rugged terrain and ensure you wear appropriate footwear. The views along the way are stunning, giving you a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of Harris.
