Car
If you are driving, head towards Dunvegan from Portree, the main town on the Isle of Skye. Take the A87 road towards Kyle of Lochalsh for about 17 miles, then merge onto the A850 towards Dunvegan. Continue on the A850 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the village of Dunvegan. Follow the signs for Dunvegan Castle once you enter the village. There is a car park available at the castle. Please note that there is a parking fee of around £5 for the day.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Citylink Bus service from Portree to Dunvegan. The buses run several times a day, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the latest bus schedule on the Citylink website or at the Portree bus station. Once you alight at the Dunvegan bus stop, it's about a 15-minute walk to Dunvegan Castle. Follow the signs towards the castle, and enjoy the scenic walk through the village.
